SPARTAN CHAPTER

The Spartan Chapter serves the Scouts of the Spartanburg, Union, and Cherokee counties of the Daniel Morgan district.

CHAPTER OFFICERS AND ADVISORS

Caroline Neely

Chapter Chief

Caroline is a founder of unit 67. She joined cub scouts in 2017 as a Tiger cub. She has since remained in scouting and is currently a life scout in Family Troop 67. Caroline completed her ordeal in spring of 2025 and her brotherhood in fall of 2025. She currently serves as the 2026 Spartan Chapter Chief and 2027 Host Lodge Cornerstone Conclave Chair.

Jess Bonds

Chapter Advisor

Jess Bonds is currently a District Committee Member at Large for the Palmetto Council in the Daniel Morgan District. She has been in scouts since 2012, when her son joined Pack 9 as a Tiger Scout. Throughout the years, Jess has served as a Cubmaster for 10 years, assisted with Daniel Morgan daycamps for 5 years, was Daniel Morgan day camp director for 3 years, attended Woodbadge at Bob Hardin in 2016, has served on three Woodbadge courses as a staff member, served on the NYLT course as a female Scoutmaster for two years, and is the 2026 NYLT Course Director. Jess was inducted into the Skuyuka Lodge in April 2024 and completed her Ordeal during Summer Ordeal in the same year. She went through her Brotherhood in the Summer of 2025 and served as an elangomat. Jess is looking forward to the role of the Spartan Chapter Advisor for the Skuyuka Lodge!
